Hello from Tokyo again.
It’s been a while but now I am back. I had to switch to a new webhosting service but I would like to thank JCOM for the many years of free service since my AOL went down so many years ago.
I don’t think I have fully recovered from that after all of the work I put in into making that OG site. But like all things, nothing stays the same and time to move on.
So Hokutobill is my stage name so look for more music coming from that dude.
AS for Japanese music, we just had the Visual Japan Summit for 3 days back in November. Unfortunatly, I was away on business trip and could not attend but Thanks to Wowow Cable TV I was able to see most of the shows. http://visual-japan.com
There were some impressive acts: Of course LUNA SEA and XJAPAN were the favorites but of the younger bands:
A9(formerly Alice Nine) sounded strong, DEZERT was quite crazy and got the kids really going,Fest Vainqueur was like a harder version of Kagrra. ROYZ and Diaura did not disappoint either. Also for an older band [cali:gari] was really rockin!! For comic relief there is always good old GOLDEN BOMMER who even had Yoshiki(X-Japan)to come out and do one song together!
All in all it looked like a good 3 days of music.
Of course MERRY has celebrated their 15th anniversary!! Wow it has been that long! They are doing good and all members are back playing live.
lynch on the other had just announced that there (stupid)bass player was arrested for drug possession and he has been kicked out of the band. So they had to cancel gigs and now need to find a new bass player!!
That is all of the news for the moment. I will try to update this blog more and more so keep on the look out.
