Lot's going on in the world today but let's help to make it a better world when we leave it.

Asian Music Underground was the first site in the 1990's to introduce to the world to Japanese, Korean and other Asian Rock Bands to the world(Wayback machine). Do to service changes on AOL(yes they ruined my site) I had to move all content to my local ISP here in Japan. Then they decided to stop offering free Website hosting so I have been in limbo for a few years. With the COVID19 Corona Virus Pandemic, I now have the time to get this back on pace.Thank you for your time and may you and yours stay healthy and safe.
Also, a big shout out to the BLM movement that started six years ago. Finally there is traction and let's support as much as we can to end Racism in the world.

'"YOU" FROM DEAD END HAS DIED

Adachi Yuji passed away due to a blood infection on June 16th.

YOU(Yuji Adachi) from Dead End died on June 16th suddenly.
Know as one of the Top and most influential Japanese Guitars of this age, YOU as he was called gave us a lot of music.
He was a founding member for Terra Rosa but soon left to be in DEAD END. His sound was very unique with his solo's taking you to another dimension for a short while and back again.
So many outrageous riffs that are hard to play so he can't be easily replicated. Once very interesting note was the reason he stopped playing with DEAD END before they reformed in 2009 was because he lost his hearing in one ear. He had multiple surgeries to try and fix this but after almost giving up, Ryuichi Kawamura from LUNA SEA asked him guess play on his solo albums(If you look at old LUNA SEA you will see how much Ryuichi copied from lead singer MORRIE of DEAD END's look). So this gave YOU the confidence to start playing again. This also lead to the reformation of DEAD END and bringing the talented MORRIE back from NEW YORK to Japan. Although it is very hard to loose a talented musician, the great thing is he left a lot of music to be enjoyed for many generations to come. MERRY-メリー

メリー Started at the end of 2000 and coming up on 20 year anniversary. However, Shinichi who is the Rhythm Guitarist has called it quits and this was supposed to be his farewell tour. However, like most all other bands, the COVID-19 and laid waste to all touring plans this summer. They hope to start their tour in August and Final on Sept 19th in Tokyo but it still could change. They have been very active on their YouTube channel so Check them out.

ISSHI DEATH DAY:KAGRRA VOCALISTJULY 18, 2020

It has been 9 years since this talented vocalist decided to kill himself. I was very surprised at the news and still can't believe it. After the band disbanded in 2010, I guess he could not handle it by himself. I wish he had reached out to someone for help. Suicide is not an option to have when life gets you down but I know we all have had thoughts about dying and not feeling worthy. However, know this, you all were born for a purpose in this life! The next life after death is eternal* so let's enjoy the life on our Planet Earth. My ISSHI REST IN PEACE.
